Our goal is to create healthy, fat free, low sodium; elegant fine dining that is without equal in taste! Our chefs do not fry food, use butter, margarine, added salt, or products with MSG or red dye #2. The china, glassware and flatware are lead free.

Our deep flavors are accomplished by the creative melding of fruit sauces, herbs, spices, wine, olive oil and of course the aromas of the open fired wood grilling, oven baking or pan wine sautéing.

The certified organic fruits and vegetables (when available) are presented with the best of ultra lean meat, seafood and poultry all flash frozen at the source to ensure freshness and full flavor in generous 8oz servings.

Our menu is created from the best of healthy ingredients.  It is prepared fat free, trans fat free, MSG free, Teflon free, red dye #2 and lead free!  We only use extra virgin olive oil and the selections are as low in sodium as possible; while retaining full robust flavor by the creative use of wine, herbs, spices and fruit sauces.  The items we purchase are prepared by our suppliers to our fat free and low sodium requirements.  All menu items are identified on the menu by a three star system.  Three *** indicate cholesterol, trans fat, saturated fat free, two ** indicate a trace amount of fat per serving and one * indicates an unavoidable minimal natural fat.

The entertainment and events start at 7:00 Tuesday through Thursday and at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday nights.  On Tuesday evenings, join us for Mangrove Margarita Tango Practica featuring new wave tango demonstrations and lessons for just $20 per person.  The rest of the week, there is a nightly entertainment cover charge of $10 per person (waived for individual tabs of $75 or more).

We feature the finest of the abundant local talent, from piano arrangements and vocalists, to swing and new wave dance music. Below is a sampling of our 2008 entertainers...

Steven's Place is centrally located in beautiful Traverse City Michigan, one of the north's premiere vacation destinations.  From the north end of town, at the intersection of US-31 (E Front Street) and Garfiled Avenue, travel south .7 miles to Steven's Place on the right immediately beyond Hannah Avenue.  From the south side at the intersection of South Airport Road and Garfield, travel north 1.4 miles to Steven's Place on the left just past Centre Street.

Enjoy Dancing & Listening Pleasures Nightly...

The entertainment starts at 6:00pm Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday with our V.I.P. Cinema™ classic movie with dinner. After this at 8:30 pm follows a "Chance to Learn Dance". One low price ($20.00) includes a demonstration, group lessons and a Mangrove Margarita or house well drink. Tuesdays Mykl Werth teaches lively and exciting swing. Wednesdays Steven and Maribel will share with you the sultry, new wave tango and the art of leading and following; and on Thursdays Mykl will guide you into social dancing.

Friday evenings are very special for two reasons: initially Doc Woodward and the Motor City Exiles Band play rock and roll oldies and classics that will make you just get up and dance! Later in the season we will be hosting concerts both live via satellite or DVD on our state of the art Blu-ray HD 1080p DLP theatre projection system and our giant 8 x 14 foot screen. "Watch your own step" as we project our own dancers on the big screen in a Friday evening version of "dancing with the stars". Saturday Doc Woodward entertains solo playing on the grand piano smooth classics especially for your dancing and listening pleasure.

For the 2011 season, we'll be featuring Doc Woodward on most Fridays and Saturday evenings, but you could also enjoy other groups or talent that specializes in a particular style of dance. Tuesdays {swing), Wednesdays (new wave tango) and Thursdays Social are reserved for dance lessons and demonstrations, with instructors on hand to bring out your best!

Steven's Place is also available for booking special events and weddings!
